Why This Is a Landmark Recruitment for Rajasthan’s Healthcare System

With 600 vacancies for Medical Officer (Medical), this MODRE-2026 examination represents one of the largest single medical recruitment drives conducted by the Rajasthan government in recent years, aimed at substantially strengthening the state’s public healthcare workforce. For MBBS graduates, particularly those from Rajasthan, this offers a stable Central-scale government medical career with a clear pay progression pathway and the security of a regular government post.

Understanding the No-Negative-Marking Advantage

Unlike many competitive government exams, the MODRE-2026 written examination has NO negative marking — a significant advantage for candidates, since it removes the penalty for attempting every question even when uncertain. Given the syllabus spans the full 4.5-year MBBS curriculum, candidates should focus their preparation on high-yield clinical and pre-clinical subjects while ensuring no question is left unattempted in the actual exam.

About Rajasthan University of Health Sciences

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur, is the state’s apex health sciences university, responsible for conducting the MODRE-2026 examination on behalf of the Directorate of Medical Health & Family Welfare Services, Government of Rajasthan, though final recruitment and appointment decisions rest with the state government.
