Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

Education

• Graduation from a recognised university or equal, on or before 6 November 2026.
• Candidates awaiting final results should not apply.
• Typing skill may be tested for the Typist posts, as per the CEN.

Age limit (on 1 January 2027)

• 18 to 33 years. Born between 2 January 1994 and 1 January 2009 for UR and EWS.
• OBC-NCL: born on or after 2 January 1991. SC and ST: born on or after 2 January 1989.
• Further relaxation for PwBD and ex-servicemen as per rules.

Medical standard

• Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor: B2.
• Goods Train Manager: A2.
• Junior Accounts Assistant and Senior Clerk: C2.

Salary Details

Selection Process

1. 1st Stage CBT: 100 questions in 90 minutes.
2. 2nd Stage CBT: 120 questions in 90 minutes.
3. There is negative marking of one third mark.
4. Qualifying marks: UR and EWS 40%, OBC 30%, SC 30%, ST 25%.
5. Then document verification and medical examination.
6. Shortlisting for CBT-2 is 15 times the vacancies.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

• CBT-1 has General Awareness 40, Mathematics 30 and Reasoning 30 questions.
• CBT-2 has General Awareness 50, Mathematics 35 and Reasoning 35 questions.
• Questions are objective and the paper is bilingual.
• PwBD candidates with a scribe get 120 minutes.

Documents Required

• Graduation certificate and marksheets.
• Caste certificate (SC, ST, OBC-NCL) in central format.
• EWS, PwBD or ex-serviceman proof, if any.
• Photo ID like Aadhaar.
• Live photo and signature during the online form.

How to Apply: Step by Step

1. Open the RRB website and note your preferred RRB.
2. Register on rrbapply.gov.in with a valid e-mail and mobile number.
3. Choose only one RRB and set your zone and post options.
4. Fill the form, upload documents and pay the fee.
5. Submit by 11:59 PM on 6 November 2026.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Apply to only one RRB. Multiple applications lead to rejection and debarment.
• Options for zones and posts cannot be changed later.
• Check the RRB wise vacancy table in Annexure B before choosing.
• Beware of touts. RRB has appointed no agent.
