Who Can Apply

Candidates with a Master’s degree (55%) in the relevant subject and NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D., or a Ph.D. from a top-500 world-ranked university, with a good academic record, can attend. SC, ST, OBC, PwD, women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.

Educational Qualification

• Option A: (i) Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent foreign degree; and (ii) NET (UGC/CSIR) or SLET/SET, OR Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2018. Candidates registered for Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET if: Ph.D. awarded; thesis evaluated by two external examiners; open viva held; two papers published from Ph.D. work (one in a refereed journal); two conference/seminar presentations; all certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs).
• Option B: Ph.D. from a University/Institution ranked in the top 500 of the World University Rankings (at any time) by QS, THE or ARWU (Shanghai Jiao Tong University).

Salary

Consolidated remuneration of Rs 52,000 per month, subject to applicable taxes. No other allowances.

Terms of Engagement

• Purely temporary for 11 months or the 2026-27 academic session, whichever is earlier; may be extended or cut short based on need and performance.
• No right to regular appointment or future regular recruitment.
• Faculty found doing any other job or professional work (including uploading educational content on social media) will be terminated without notice.
• Some selected candidates may have to work as Assistant Warden of hostels and may get rent-free hostel accommodation. Otherwise, no accommodation is provided.
• A relieving order from the present/last employer is needed at joining.

• Certificate verification during registration (8:30 AM to 9:30 AM).
• Walk-in interview in physical mode only, from 10:30 AM.
• Screening criteria may be higher than the minimum. No online interview or change of venue.
