For specific particularly vulnerable tribal groups (Kamar, Abujhmadia, Pahadi Korwa, Baiga, Birhor, who fall under the Scheduled Tribe category), the minimum qualification is relaxed to 10th pass.
• Educational Qualification (Anganwadi Sahayika): Minimum 8th pass, relaxable further if no eligible candidate is found.

Weightage Marks (Merit Criteria)

• Additional marks are given for: experienced Karyakarta/Sahayika/Sah-Sanghatika status; belonging to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family; belonging to an SC/ST family; being a Widow/Divorced/Deserted woman (on production of valid/competent certificates).
• Additional marks for studying up to 8th class in a girls’ hostel run by the SC/ST Department.
• Additional marks for SC/ST caste certificate issued by a competent authority (valid for the certificate’s validity period, if temporary).
• For deserted women, a joint certificate from the Sarpanch and Secretary of the Gram Panchayat (valid only if the desertion has lasted at least 2 years) or a relevant court order is required for the additional marks.
• For widows, the husband’s death certificate must be attached with the application for additional marks.
• Additional marks for previously experienced Sahayika/Sah-Sahayika who have worked for 1 year or more in an Anganwadi/Balwadi/Jhulaghar/supplementary nutrition distribution centre/urban special nutrition centre/Shishu Shiksha Kendra, with an experience certificate from the controlling officer.
• BPL status must be verified from the applicable list (Socio-Economic and Caste Census Survey 2011) issued by the competent authority (CEO for rural areas, Chief Municipal Officer for urban areas).
