NTPC Limited has launched a Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST candidates under Advt. No. 13/26 for 19 backlog executive posts: Deputy Manager (Civil Construction, Mechanical Erection, Electrical Erection), Assistant Manager (O/M) Mechanical, Engineer (Electrical Erection) and Assistant Officer (Safety). Post-wise Vacancy Details (Backlog)

PwBD reservation as per Government guidelines for posts A to E. The Assistant Officer (Safety) post is not identified for PwBD. Vacancies may increase or decrease.

Educational Qualification and Experience

• A. Deputy Manager (Civil Construction): B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Construction. Minimum 8 years post-qualification executive experience (including training period) in Power/Steel/Refinery/Fertilizer/Oil & Gas/Cement sector, with at least 3 years site experience in civil construction.
• B. Deputy Manager (Mechanical Erection): B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production. 8 years executive experience in the same sectors, with at least 3 years site experience in Erection/Maintenance/Commissioning in the mechanical area.
• C. Deputy Manager (Electrical Erection): B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics. 8 years executive experience in the same sectors, with at least 3 years site experience in Erection/Maintenance/Commissioning in the electrical area.
• For A, B, C (Govt/PSU employees): At least 2 years in the pay scale of Rs 60,000-1,80,000 or above (IDA E3 or above of NTPC from 01.01.2017) or equivalent, plus NOC from employer.
• D. Assistant Manager (O/M) Mechanical: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engg./Production & Industrial Engg./Thermal/Mechanical & Automation/Power Engineering. Minimum 5 years post-qualification executive experience (excluding training) in a power project/plant of 200 MW or more. Govt/PSU employees: 2 years in Rs 50,000-1,60,000 (E2) or above, plus NOC.
• E. Engineer (Electrical Erection): B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics. Minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience (excluding training) in electrical erection at site in substation and transmission work / electrical equipment (motors, HT/LT panels, switchgear, cable laying) / relay and protections / electrical control systems / HT/LT transformers in major infrastructure projects (thermal, hydro, renewable, nuclear, transmission, refinery, fertilizer, petrochemicals, steel, cement). Govt/PSU employees need NOC.
• F. Assistant Officer (Safety): B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Civil/Production/Chemical/Construction/Instrumentation, with Diploma / Advance Diploma / PG Diploma in Industrial Safety from Central Labour Institute / Regional Labour Institute, Govt. of India.

Age Limit

Where a vacancy is identified for PwBD, the upper age is relaxed by 10 years. Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen as per Govt. guidelines. Age, experience and qualification are counted as on the last date of application.

Selection Process

NTPC may use application shortlisting/screening (based on qualification, marks, years of post-qualification experience, site experience etc.), written/computer-based test, personal interview, or a combination. A medical examination by the NTPC Medical Board is required before joining; no relaxation in health standards.

• Class X certificate/marksheet, PAN and Aadhaar (name and DOB must match)
• B.E./B.Tech degree (final/provisional) and consolidated/all-semester marksheets
• Safety Diploma (for post F)
• CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula from the university
• Caste / Disability certificate (latest Govt. format; UDID/swavlamban for PwBD)
• Experience documents in chronological order (appointment/joining letters, role orders, Form-16, 2 payslips per year etc.)
• NOC from current employer (Govt/PSU) and pay scale circular to verify service
