Why This Recruitment Is Significant
With 1174 vacancies, this is one of the largest judicial-branch clerical recruitment drives in Madhya Pradesh in recent years, offering graduates a stable Central-scale government career within the state’s District and Sessions Court establishments. Given the modest eligibility bar (any graduation + CPCT/computer diploma) and no domicile restriction on applying (though reservation benefits are MP-specific), this is an accessible opportunity for a large pool of candidates across the state and beyond.
Understanding the OBC Reservation Litigation
Candidates should be aware that Madhya Pradesh’s OBC reservation percentage (increased from 14% to 27% under the 2019 amendment) remains under legal challenge in Writ Petition No. 5901/2019 and connected matters before the MP High Court. As a result, this recruitment’s results will be declared in two tranches — a main result covering 87% of posts, and a provisional result for the remaining 13% (which includes the additional OBC quota and a corresponding General category adjustment) — with final OBC-category appointments subject to the eventual court ruling.
