Areas

Note: Level 11 entry pay is ₹89,900, but its scale starts at ₹68,900. Level 10 entry pay is ₹84,700, but its scale starts at ₹57,700. Please check the official notice.

Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

Professor (Level 14A)

• Ph.D. with 10 years of experience, 4 of them as Associate Professor.
• First class (60%) in Master’s degree.
• ABDC-B or ABS-3 and higher publications as set in the notice (for example, eight ABDC-B).
• At least two Ph.D. scholars guided is preferred.

Associate Professor (Level 13A2)

• Ph.D. with 6 years of experience, 3 years post Ph.D. as Assistant Professor.
• First class (60%) in Master’s degree.
• At least five ABDC-B or ABS-3 papers, or an equal mix with ABDC-A.

Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 13A1 and 12)

• Level 13A1: Ph.D. with 5 years of experience and four ABDC-B papers or equal.
• Level 12: Ph.D. with 3 years of experience and three ABDC-B papers or equal.
• First class (60%) in Master’s degree.

Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 11 and 10)

• Level 11: Ph.D. with more than one year post Ph.D. experience and two ABDC-B papers or equal.
• Level 10: fresh Ph.D., or viva done with provisional award, and one ABDC-B paper.
• First class (60%) in Class 10, Class 12, graduation and Master’s.

Professor or Associate Professor of Practice

• At least 20 years of experience in industry or government.
• Ph.D. is desirable, not essential.
• Initial term of 2 years, renewable up to 5 years. Retirement age is 65.

Relaxation

• SC, ST and PwD get 5% relaxation in marks.
• OBC gets 3% relaxation in marks.

Salary Details

Selection Process

1. A screening committee shortlists applications.
2. Only papers in ABDC journals count for shortlisting.
3. Shortlisted candidates are called for the interview.
4. Candidates may be offered a lower post or a 1 to 2 year contract.
