IIM Bangalore Web Developer Recruitment 2026 – Overview

Eligibility

• ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with 3+ years of relevant web development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ✓Strong hands-on experience in PHP, Drupal and WordPress development.
• ✓Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and responsive front-end development.
• ✓Proven ability to develop, troubleshoot, maintain and optimise responsive, high-performance websites and web applications.
• ✓Share a link to your portfolio or web projects from the last 2-3 years.

Key Skills

• ✓PHP and CodeIgniter framework; MySQL and REST API integration
• ✓Drupal CMS – custom modules, theming, configuration, upgrades, migration and maintenance
• ✓WordPress CMS – plugin development, theming, configuration, upgrades
• ✓Website security, performance optimisation, SEO, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
• ✓Code review, debugging, scalable web architecture, and estimating development effort

Main Responsibilities

• ✓Develop, maintain and enhance the Institute’s websites and web applications.
• ✓Turn designs and wireframes into responsive web pages and integrate front-end with back-end systems, databases and third-party services.
• ✓Carry out Drupal and WordPress upgrades, migrations and security updates.
• ✓Collaborate with designers, content and IT teams and vendors; follow branding, accessibility and security standards.

Compensation

The selected candidate gets a contract with a consolidated monthly salary (CTC). The final pay depends on the profile. The indicative pay is Rs 8.85 lakh per annum plus additional benefits. The contract is renewable on satisfactory performance.
