Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

PhD (full-time)

• M.E., M.Tech, MCA or M.Sc in a relevant field, with a valid GATE or NET score.
• At least 6.0 CGPA, or 60% marks, for General, OBC and EWS. For SC, ST and PwD: 5.5 CGPA or 55%.
• B.E., B.Tech or MCA holders may be considered for direct PhD admission.

PhD (part-time)

• Same qualification as full-time.
• The candidate must be employed in industry, an R&D body or academia.
• A No Objection Certificate from the employer is needed.

Postdoctoral Fellow

• A PhD in a relevant field.
• Strong research record with publications or patents.
• Age 40 years or below, as per the scheme.

2. Shortlisted candidates are told the test or interview schedule by email.

• The part-time PhD has no fellowship under the scheme.
• Fellows give 40 hours a month to Institute work, with at least 10 hours of administrative help.
• Fellowship depends on the release of funds.
