Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

Scientist-D (age up to 45 years)

• Medical: MBBS recognised by MCI or NMC, with 8 years of experience.
• Non-Medical: Master’s in a Biomedical Science subject, or Pharm-D, with 8 years of experience.
• Desirable: MD, MS, MPH or Ph.D., and epidemiology or public health research.

Scientist-C (age up to 40 years)

• MBBS recognised by MCI or NMC, with 4 years of experience.
• Microbiology post: desirable experience in microbiology, immunology or sequencing.

Scientist-B (age up to 35 years)

• Medical: MBBS recognised by MCI or NMC.
• Non-Medical: Master’s in a Biomedical Science subject, or Pharm-D.
• Veterinary: B.V.Sc and AH recognised by VCI.
• Desirable: research experience in the related field.

Experience rules

• A Ph.D. counts as 4 years of experience.
• MD or MS counts as 3 years.
• MPH and M.Tech do not count as experience.
• Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary Details

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting on age, qualification and experience.
2. Further shortlisting if there are many candidates.
3. Computer based test (MCQ) on research methods, interview, or both.
4. The CBT is qualifying, with a 75 percentile minimum.

• Certificates and marksheets from Matric onwards.
• MCI, NMC or VCI registration, as needed.
• Experience certificates.
• Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwBD).
• Photo and signature as per the guidelines.
• NOC from employer at the personal discussion, if employed.
