Who Can Apply
Bonafide Himachali candidates aged 18 to 45 years as on 14.10.2026, with the minimum qualification for the post, can apply. Experience in JSV/HPPWD/CPWD/PSUs or with an outsourcing agency serving HP Jal Shakti Vibhag earns extra marks.
Educational Qualification
- Para Pump Operator: Matriculation (10th) with a certificate in the trade of Electrician/Wireman/Diesel Mechanic/Pump Mechanic/Motor Mechanic/Pump Operator-cum-Mechanic from a recognized ITI; OR Matriculation with a certificate in these trades under a Government Skill Development Scheme.
- Para Fitter: Matriculation (10th) with an ITI certificate in Fitter/Plumber trade; OR Matriculation with a certificate in these trades under a Government Skill Development Scheme.
- Multipurpose Worker: Middle pass (8th) or equivalent from a school recognized by the State Government. Evaluation is based only on Middle Standard marks, even if you have a higher qualification.

Selection Process
- Para Pump Operator & Para Fitter (10 marks): Matric percentage out of 5 (e.g. 50% = 2.5), BPL family 1 mark, experience up to 2 marks (0.5 per completed 6 months in JSV/HPPWD/CPWD/PSU or an outsourcing agency in HP JSV), skill and physical test 2 marks.
- Multipurpose Worker (10 marks): Middle percentage out of 6 (e.g. 50% = 3), experience up to 2 marks (0.5 per completed 6 months in HP Govt./Semi-Govt. or an outsourcing agency in HP JSV), physical test 2 marks.
- Experience certificates must be issued by the Executive Engineer in the relevant field and are verified; false or unsatisfactory certificates are not entertained.
- Skill test dates for shortlisted candidates are informed separately after document scrutiny. No TA/DA is paid.
