Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Application, Commerce, Science (Mathematics/Statistics), or Arts (Statistics/Economics/Mathematics) from a University or institution established or incorporated under a Central or State Act in India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Candidates must also possess basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967, and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.

Important note: Candidates holding a B.Sc. (CA & IT) or M.Sc. (CA & IT) degree are not considered eligible for this post. Candidates who have appeared for their final degree examination but whose result is not yet declared, as well as those who intend to appear for such a qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary Examination; however, they must produce proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of applying for the Main Examination.

Age Limit (As on 21 August 2026)

The age limit is a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 35 years. The upper age limit may be relaxed for candidates already in Gujarat Government service, as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Reserved category candidates applying against unreserved vacancies will not get any age relaxation or other benefit.

Examination Fee

Pay Scale
