Age Limit
Educational Qualification
Teaching Faculty qualifications are as per the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations, 2025 (NMC Gazette Notification dated 30.06.2025). DNB (Broad/Super Specialties) qualifications from institutions with 500+ beds are treated as equivalent to MD/MS and DM/M.Ch respectively; in other cases, an additional 1 year of senior residency in a medical college is required for teaching equivalence. Senior Residents with PG degrees (DM/M.Ch/DrNB) are preferred over others.
Remuneration
Consolidated remuneration for medical faculty includes NPA@20%, DA@60%, and HRA@27%, subject to revision as per ESIC Headquarters instructions. Non-medical faculty may be engaged at similar rates minus the NPA component.

About This Recruitment
ESIC Super Specialty Hospital, Sanathnagar, is a key tertiary care institution under the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation network in Telangana, and this recruitment strengthens its faculty and resident medical staff across neurosurgery, nephrology, neurology, cardiology, radiology, and anaesthesia departments. With Anaesthesia Senior Resident alone accounting for up to 14 posts (8 confirmed + 6 anticipated), this drive substantially expands critical care and surgical support capacity at the hospital.
Why the Anticipated Vacancy Structure Matters
Nearly half of the advertised posts, marked with an asterisk, are “anticipated vacancies” expected to arise by 31 October 2026 rather than currently vacant positions, meaning candidates interviewing now may be placed on a panel for near-future engagement rather than immediate joining. Candidates should factor this timeline into their planning, particularly those currently serving notice periods elsewhere, since ESIC’s recruitment process accounts for this lag between interview and actual vacancy arising.
Understanding the Cross-Level Interview Flexibility
ESIC has built in flexibility allowing candidates eligible for a higher post (Professor/Associate Professor) to be interviewed against a lower post (Associate Professor/Assistant Professor) to meet phased minimum NMC/MCI staffing requirements, with temporary upgradation possible if selected. Conversely, if no eligible candidate appears for a post, candidates eligible for a lower post may be interviewed against the higher post and appointed at the lower level with down-gradation. Candidates should understand that their final placement level may differ from the specific post they apply against, based on the Selection Board’s assessment and candidate availability on interview day.
Preparing for the Walk-in Interview Process
Given the substantial caution deposit (Rs. 1,00,000) and mandatory professional indemnity insurance requirements, candidates should plan their finances accordingly before accepting an offer, in addition to preparing the extensive document set required for verification, including Medical Council registration, reservation certificates (valid as on the interview date, not merely applied for), and research publication records where applicable. Candidates should also note that reporting after the scheduled interview time will result in disqualification from that day’s process, making punctuality for the 1-hour-prior document verification window essential.
Final Word
Eligible MD/MS/DM/M.Ch/DNB-qualified candidates meeting the specific age and NMC 2025 Regulation criteria for their target department and post should prepare their complete documentation and report for document verification well ahead of their scheduled interview time between 16-18 September 2026 at ESIC Super Specialty Hospital, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad.
A Note on Reservation Certificate Timing
Candidates applying under OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) or EWS categories must ensure their community/income certificate is issued on or after 01 April 2026 and remains valid on the date of interview, following the specific formats prescribed in DoPT Office Memoranda; certificates in other formats will not be accepted, and such candidates will instead be treated as General category for all purposes. SC/ST candidates must similarly ensure their certificate follows the prescribed DoPT format. Candidates should verify their certificates meet these exact specifications well before their scheduled interview date, since a technical formatting issue could mean losing reserved-category consideration entirely rather than simply being asked to produce a corrected document later.
Understanding the Super Specialty Posting Flexibility
The notice specifies that Senior Residents selected in a Super Specialty department may be posted to other departments as per hospital requirements, and selected Medical/Surgical Allied Super Specialty Senior Residents may initially be posted in General Medicine/General Surgery before subsequent posting to their Super Specialty department. Candidates applying for Super Specialty Senior Resident posts such as Cardiology should therefore be prepared for this staged posting approach, which allows the hospital flexibility in meeting immediate general department staffing needs while still honoring the specialist’s ultimate placement.
A Final Note on Document Completeness
Since the notice explicitly states that opportunity to appear in the interview is purely provisional and joining remains subject to detailed scrutiny of eligibility conditions and production of prescribed certificates, candidates should treat their walk-in interview appearance as only the first checkpoint rather than a guarantee, and should ensure every document, from Medical Council registration to research publication proof, is genuinely in order well before reporting for document verification.
