Eligibility Criteria (Summary)

Educational qualifications and experience vary by post code, but broadly follow this pattern:

• Chief Consultant (Post 101, 102): Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Business Administration/ABST/Education/Social Work/Public Policy, or Social Sciences/HR) with minimum 60% marks, plus a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in the relevant domain, including at least 2 years at National or State level.
• Consultant – Higher Band (Post 201, 202): Master’s Degree/MBA/M.Tech or equivalent with 60% marks, English and Hindi proficiency, plus a minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year at National or State level.
• Consultant – Mid Band (Post 301, 302): Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks, plus a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in the specific domain (ECCE/FLN or Teacher Quality/Classroom Practice as applicable).
• Consultant – Specialist Band (Post 401-406): Relevant Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s/Master’s in Law (for Legal), or equivalent professional qualification with 60% marks, plus 3-4 years’ post-qualification experience in the specific specialisation (Legal, Procurement, Inclusive Education, ICT, Vocational, Gender & Equity).
• Associate Consultant/Data Analyst (Post 501): Master’s in Computer Application/BE/B.Tech/Master’s in Statistics or Mathematics, or a 2-year PG Diploma in Data Management, with minimum 3 years’ experience handling and analysing large datasets, and mandatory English typing skills.
• District Consultant – FLN (Post 601): Master’s in Business Administration/Statistics/Social Sciences/Education/Social Work/Humanities or PG in any subject, with minimum 3 years’ experience managing projects, and mandatory English typing skills.
• Coordinator (Post 701): Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/Education/Social Work/B.Tech/MBA or 2-year PG Diploma in Management, with minimum 3 years’ experience in school education, educational administration, academic coordination or scheme implementation.

Across nearly all posts, good command of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required, and candidates with M.Phil./Ph.D., additional qualifications, research experience or published papers in the relevant field are given weightage or preference. Prescribed qualifications and post-qualification experience must be acquired on or before 1 April 2026, from Government-recognized institutions.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on academic/professional qualifications and post-qualification experience, and will also include an Interview, depending on the total number of eligible applicants. Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. A waiting list will be prepared for each category of consultants/positions, so that if a selected candidate does not join, or a consequential vacancy arises, suitable candidates from the waiting list will be offered the opportunity to join based on experience and qualifications.

Nature & Tenure of Engagement

The engagement of Consultants and other posts is purely on a full-time contractual basis for a period of 1 year, which may be extended by 1 year for providing high-quality services on specific projects, as per the requirement of the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the performance of the individual. The advertisement/appointment does not vest any right in the candidate to claim regular appointment, permanent absorption in the organization, or continued contractual appointment. The place of work will be at State, District or Directorate level within Rajasthan, depending on the post.
