Note: Code 0901 pays ₹31,000 to NET or GATE qualified candidates and ₹25,000 to others. Posts 0904 to 0908 are under the CSIR Aroma Mission Phase 4.0.

Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

Project Associate-I and II (age up to 35 years)

• M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Life Science, Botany, Agriculture, Chemistry or related fields, as per code.
• Code 0907 needs B.E. or B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Project Associate-II (0905) needs 2 years of MAPs research experience.

Senior and Principal Project Associate

• Senior PAT (age up to 40): M.Sc. or B.Tech. with 3 years of R&D experience, or a Ph.D.
• Principal PAT (age up to 40): Ph.D. in CS, IT, Bioinformatics or Biotechnology with 3 years of experience.

Other posts

• PTS-III (age up to 35): first class M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology or Life Science.
• Project Assistant-II (age up to 35): Graduate in Science.
• Assistant Project Manager (age up to 55): Ph.D. with 2 years in medicinal and aromatic plants.
• Or M.Sc. with 5 years in the same field.

Age relaxation

• Age is counted on the closing date.
• SC, ST, OBC, PwD and women get relaxation as per CSIR rules.

Selection Process

1. The project team shortlists on academic record and experience.
2. Shortlisted names and the interview date are posted on the CSIR-NEIST website.
3. Offline interview at Jorhat, possibly in hybrid mode.
4. The waitlist stays valid for 1 year.
