Who Can Apply

Indian nationals who meet the qualification, experience and age rules for the post can apply online. Candidates whose earlier service with BECIL or the client was ended for disciplinary action, misconduct, poor performance or breach of contract are not eligible.

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Residential Supervisor: Graduate degree from a recognized University/Institution, with minimum 5 years of experience.
• Cook: 10th pass/Matriculate from any recognized board. Adequate experience of preparing Indian/Western dishes. Minimum 1 year of work experience as Cook/Halwai in a catering establishment/hotel/hospital. Certificate of training as Cook/Halwai in food hygiene and food safety (with personal hygiene matching the work, food handling, processing, preparation, packaging, storage, service and distribution) from a certified agency.
• Kitchen Attendant: 10th pass/Matriculation from a recognized Board/Institution. Preference for candidates with kitchen work experience. Freshers may also be considered.
• Driver (Bus/Ambulance/Truck/Heavy Vehicles): 10th pass/Matriculation from a recognized Board/Institution. Valid driving licence for heavy vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism. 3 years of working experience.

Medical Tests and Vaccination for Kitchen Staff (Annexure A)

Cook candidates must submit these while joining BECIL/Hospital:

• Medical tests: Hemoglobin (HB%), Liver Function Test (LFT), Widal Test, Hepatitis A (Total Antibody Test), Deworming, Stool Examination – Routine/Microscopy, Stool Culture and Sensitivity (for carrier state).
• Vaccination: Hepatitis A (two doses at 0 and 6 months); Hepatitis B (antibody titers checked if vaccinated before, booster if needed, standard schedule 0, 1 and 6 months); Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (one dose every 10 years, boosters may be advised).

Selection Process

• Scrutiny and shortlisting based on eligibility. BECIL may use higher qualification or more experience to shortlist.
• The shortlist goes to the client hospital for interview, assessment, skill test or other evaluation.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email and/or phone.
• Only the final result will be published on www.becil.com.
• Preference may be given to local candidates and those with experience in a similar department.
