Who Can Apply

• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (IT, CSE, EEE, Engineering Sciences, or Management), with first class in the preceding degrees from graduation onward (or at least 6.5 CGPA/60% marks if first class is not mentioned).
• Relevant Experience: 3 years after Ph.D., or 6 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M.Tech degree.
• Other Essential Requirements: 2 papers in SCI journals outside Ph.D. work, and one ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia.
• Additional Desirable: One ongoing Ph.D. supervision, 1 patent, experience in industry or a reputed R&D lab.
• Age Limit: Fresh appointments beyond 35 years are discouraged, except for candidates with an exceptional research career and an ongoing/approved externally funded research project.
• At least one degree from graduation onward should be from an IISc/IIT/IIIT/NIT/IIM/ISI/IISER, or the candidate should be working in a regular pay scale at one of these institutes.

Selection Process

Selection will be made in two phases. Shortlisted candidates first appear for a presentation on their teaching and research specialization, followed by an interview with the Selection Committee.
